Second Chance

Looking beyond those pretty blue eyes
I still see nothing but beauty
but when walking deeper I still find no lies,

Putting my hand on those soft rose checks
I step away
and miss you for weeks,

Putting my arms around you from keeping you cold
and never letting go
thinking this will never get old,

Watching your hair quickly move in the breeze
my eyes will never let go
and my pain will slightly ease,

Finding myself far away
I quickly move forward
and start to pray,

Getting close I stand back up
begging for one more chance
you realize I will not soon give up,

Nodding your head
you step up and set me straight
telling me this will not have an end,

Taking one step forward
I put my arms around you
quickly knowing my question is answered.
