Swallowed

by marilyn marti   Dec 20, 2006

Her words could not be spoken
Her tears, she could not cry
She was kept inside his emptiness
She was stuck by his side
Her sorrow was undeniable
Her heart was forever blind
She wished she could illuminate
The darkness of the sky
Her wounds could not conceal
The years of all the pain
The silence was much louder
Than the thunder of the rain
She couldn't keep him still
He made her take the blame
He had no problem knowing
Their love was not the same.
