Little Girl Dreams

She\'s five years old and in her favorite cinderella dress. She\'s dancing out in the yard as her mom does the dishes. She\'s dancing with her prince charming and dreaming of happily ever after. She\'s 11 years old and boys have cooties. She wants to be a fire-fighter and play football, bc whatever he can do, she can do better. She wants to conquer the world. She\'s 16 and has her license. She has more make-up than the store and she piles it on trying to impress the boys who used to have cooties. She\'s going on dates and school dances. She\'s on the porch past her curfew getting her first kiss. Her daddy is threatening the lil punks that want his little girl. She\'s 18 and has had her heart broken many times. She looked beautiful at her senior prom and cried during graduation day. She\'s beginning college so she can conquer the world, she\'s forgotten all about Prince Charming and happily ever after. Although she feels like Cinderella before the ball at her part-time job. She\'s looking him in the eyes wondering if he\'ll stay with her, wondering if he loves her...she\'s looking at him with tears ready to fall. A smile crosses her face as he looks back into her confused eyes and he sees all the pain she\'s felt, he sees her five years old and dancing in the leaves dreaming of Prince Charming, 16 and crying in her room bc that jerk broke up with her...he leans in and hugs her. He whispers into her ear as if knowing what she was thinking; \"I\'ll always be your Prince Charming\".
