Cold Cell Heart

by GretaInsideOut   Dec 20, 2006

Whatever happened to the you
That rescued me from the night
Kissed away all my burdens
And brushed away my impurities?

I see we're apart now
Distance between souls so far
This cold cell is my heart
You're locked inside

The moon echos you're promise
It beckons me forth
Only to betray my mind
Slow and weary i return

The horizon stretches far
But I can't escape this hurt
I run but fail to hide
Shedding tears for you

I reach beneath the hate
I swim beneath the lies
The end of an era
Is the end of our love

Mistaken hearts,
Will remain bleak until,
The night comes again
And my cold cell is set free.
