A night to remember

What happened tonight was amazing

The way you were near me made my heart jump

Just thinking about it makes me queasy

And the road to love is more than just a bump

What happened to tonight I can't explain in words

But the expression on both our faces were as pleasant

As a newly blossomed love ferns

Or a baby's first Christmas present

I wanted tonight to keep going

So that we could be together even longer

Hopefully whatever is between us will keep growing

And soon become stronger

I want you to lay on my knee again

To tickle me until I touch your hand

Grasping it until I finally give in

Until I no longer can't

I loved it when you looked at me

And you never said a word

Your gaze was so deep

And yet so clearly heard

I loved watching you get up

Off the couch and walk away

Your touch was just enough

To keep me from running a stray

Is all that happened tonight

Ever going to happen again

Will you bring me something as so light

As being more than friends

as easy as though it seems
