Concerning Pain and Salvation

by A Former Outcast   Dec 21, 2006

This thing called pain is mystifying,
And it is just so tantalizing.

Pools of fire living in hollow eyes,
Looking out and only seeing demise.

Pain never stops hurting,
It tears right through the soul.
It goes straight in and then out,
Leaving nothing but a hole.

For some reason, though, I love the pain,
Pain is as pleasing to me as rain.
It's like a drug, I can't turn away,
I love the pain, I'm sorry to say.

Twisting knives inside a soul,
Empty eyes as black as coal.

Endless fire burning through veins,
Nothing left but a few remains.

You see this hollow shell of me,
The rest of me has been set free.
I live here in a world of hell,
Where only the pain keeps me well.

Pain in this world is both life and death,
A world of booze and of coke and meth.

Souls always burning, in an abyss,
Souls always crying, not wanting this.

The pain is never-ending,
The pain will drive me for-wards,
The pain is overwhelming,
The pain does drive me to-wards.......

Eternal slumber, eternal rest,
Eternal peace, where things are the best.
