Sad eyes

sad eyes haunted,
Haunted by the darkness within

Nobody can see the darkness
The darkness that eats the soul,
Eats the heart away,
Like a fire burning within.

Nobody can feel the darkness
the darkness that lies within,
Lies within the soul; heavy like bricks
Bricks falling onto the body
crushing the soul to pieces
like chalk being trampled on.

Nobody knows of the darkness
The darkness that haunts sad eyes.
