I never knew....even pain could be potrayed so beautifully. I guess its only when we r in love....we want to live...rest of the time we just want to fly free.

Very nicely written...spl the 'parole' stanza.

all the best and take care

I can't relate to this poem because i've never had to go through or see anyone go through this but the way you presented it was gut wrenching.
It really shows the emotions through the words..

This was very deep and beautiful. I loved your stanzas and the way it obviously flowed from your true feelings. I'm sorry for your condition, I'll be praying for you, stay strong. Amazing poem. 5/5.

I canot think of anything to say that will make you fell beter. i dout words can. it seems so unfair that so many bad things can happen to you and other people live happy lives. all of your poems bring tears to my eyes and my heart breaks for you. i wish i could take your pain from you but there is nothing i can do sorry!! with much love x0x0x

What can I say about this piece other than how heart breaking it is and how well written - you employ a rhyme scheme here that isn't used very often.

I have numerous favourite lines in this, but "In a body I don't know anymore" and "I have no chance for parole I am serving a life sentence" are the best and most effective in my humble opinion. They say so much about the way you were feeling then - 10 years on, I don't know if you feel any better about your situation - I hope so.

You have so much to offer and so much to still be grateful for from what I know of you - your poetry, your passion, and a family I know you adore. Don't hope for the end too quickly - the world needs more fighters like you in it, not less.

Cindy, this poem oozes literary class but - more importantly in my opinion - sincerity, honesty and raw emotion. Not everyone can express those things as skilfully as you have here.

All the very best and take care,
    Ben
