Mommy and Daddy love you

by Pianist   Dec 22, 2006

My young one, my princess, my baby, my girl.
I'm writing this letter for two.
I hope when you read this you realize how much
that mommy and daddy love you.

When mommy and daddy were just boys and girls,
we were stubborn as youngsters could be.
So mommy and daddy, we made a mistake,
and that's why you only have me.

Your mommy, she loves you, and always she will,
but daddy was not the right man.
She was pretty, and young, and so full of joy,
her life, as it was, just began.

I know that it's hard, and completely unfair,
to live in a mommy-less world.
But you are my darling, my cutie, my doll,
and always I'll love you my girl.

It was my fault really, if someone's to blame,
for pushing your mommy away.
Your mommy had plans, and a future to build,
while I only thought of today.

I want you to know just how much you have been
a blessing to your mom and I.
And even though she can't be here right now,
know that she really did try.

My young one, my princess, my baby, my girl.
I'm writing this letter for two.
I hope when you read this you realize how much
that mommy and daddy love you.
