A Letter To Parents

by *~Broken_Seraph~*   Dec 22, 2006

Do not tell me teenagers don't know
Life easy, without a care.
That we don't learn as we grow.

Emotions unreal, like an elaborate show.
Thoughts shallow and thin as hair
Do not tell me teenagers don't know.

Easily controlled, head planted firmly under your toe.
Our pain is something easy to bear.
That we don't learn as we grow.

Supposed to waste our lives, without a care, eager parties to throw.
Lives simple, fun everywhere.
Do not tell me teenagers don't know

We should be always happy, and never feel low
All the same, everyone, here and there
That we don't learn as we grow.

That we are not haunted by the past's deadly crows.
And when we try to take our lives, we can't be spared.
Do not tell me teenagers don't know
That we don't learn as we grow.
