Time moved on as we grew apart,
both have changed, but you still have a place in my heart.
Youv\'e shown me things I would have never seen,
opened my eyes to look further than me.
Taught me it\'s okay to feel,
have forgiveness, have heart and be real.
I learned compassion and how to have strength,
and when you love someone you should show no lengths,
to have hope cuz the bad times will pass,
and to keep prayin that the good ones last.
You\'ve given me inspiration and taught me no dream is too far,
and how to show consideration to others, regardless of who or what they are,
to listen with my heart and not just with my ears,
cuz no matter how small it seems, its important that you hear,
that people don\'t always say when they need you, so you have to pay close atttention,
and that if I am ever lost, I can count on you to point me in the right direction.
You told me I could do anything if I try,
that its okay to break down sometimes, its okay to cry.
You\'ve taught me to keep pushin through no matter how bad it hurts,
cuz before things get better, they have to get worse,
and though things between us will never be the same,
