Arms Open

Arms Open (Love You as You Are)

Listen...I'm here...

I don't care where your from
I don't mind what you've been through
And I won't try to fix your imperfections
And I don't dare mend the twists in you
But as long as you come to me
I'll accept every bit of you
I'll consume you with forgiveness
I'll have my arms open in acceptance

Ya, I'll take you for how you are
If you take me for who I am
Black or white, wrong or right
unsaved, shattered or unscathed
Deaf or blind, angry or shy
Whatever your ways, whatever your faith
Or however the color of your sweet face
My arms are open wide, come to me, I'll love you.

For I do not sell love like a meretricious being.
I just give it.
And I do not take it all for granted.
I cherish it.
I open my heart to anyone, damaged or pure.
asking nothing in return.

And you wonder why? Well, someone has to.

I don't mind...
I don't care...
however long you choose to stay
Is however long I'll be here.

So Everyone! Join in on this Love!
come all...come home to me now...
holding your hearts in your hands
weighing your mistakes on your shoulders
Then throw them to me, and be released!
Be Free! go on, just to run back again.

So remember then if you ever choose to love as I do...
If you close your eyes, and open your arms
Anyone could come running.
