what if a friend stabs you in the back, are you still friends?
i say no because friends are who you tell things to and if there stabbing you in the back that person is not someone you want to tell things to because they will tell others that
yes be friends with them just what a while before talking or hanging out with them and than don't tell them to much or they will stab you more
tell them when you really trust them again
