Jealousy Personified

by MistressMoonim   Dec 22, 2006

She was fond of the green-eyed monster,
and how he clung to her dress
and her words
and how he made her confess things
that before, she'd never dare say.

He ran his fingers through her hair,
swirling around her
as she walked.
And the things that he stirred in her,
made her lose herself to him.

He intoxicated her, this jealousy
and made her see green.
Never black and white.
There were silent screams inside her head,
as she prayed he'd release her insides.

She was lonely, and he knew that.
He knew that she longed,
that she craved
for that someone, her special someone
to hold her like he used to.

Jealousy taunted her sometimes,
made her feel lost
and alone,
as he tossed through the pages
of her life so far. One by one.

As the green of him poisoned her,
tainting everything she did
and everything she wanted,
She hid from the world, from the emptiness
that this - her Jealousy - created.
