Broken family

So sad the tears seem
as they fall down her cheeks
Leaving a pearlesent trail
The dirt never seems to come off his face
And His pain seems so unreal

Her eyes always glazed
nothing will ease her sorrow
But this is how they live, in the haze
wicked and hollow

So wounded the family
long ago whole
split apart into pieces
They've hit a new low

The child with her tears so soft and so sad
The father with his loneliness so unhealthy
And the mother with her sorrow so bad

no hope left to spare, to bring to end
the misery felt by all three

For that crying child is me.
