My little Man

by Victoria Rainey   Dec 23, 2006

"Oh Sam, I will never let anything happen to you"
I have spoken too soon....
I was playing with my son at the park
I held him tight in my arms
He squeals
and I laugh
He is the one that shines in my eyes
Tiny feet and hands
small fingers wraps aroung mine
Golden hair, baby blue eyes
He is all mine...
I took out a ball
We took turns throwing it to one another
We said to eachother
I love you forever
The ball rolled into the ground, I turned my back.
I let the wind brush against my neck and face
Little Sam ran after the ball
The Semi Truck came by
didnt even see the little guy
cross the street.
I couldnt scream for his name, everything happened in slow motion
I cry out for him, I couldnt reach for him in time
Now I have to say goodbye Sam
You will always be my little man
Sam, I love you forever
Soon I will join you in heaven
We will be together soon
My little man, Sam.
