Why Me?

You've had way more than you can handle
Now your lifeless body's passed out on the mantle
You were drinking those drinks as if you were hurried
It's five hours later and you've really got me worried
You've scared me so much, you've made me cry
You've had your last one, it's time to say goodbye
I'm not the only one, you scared her too
And all you could say was "I've only had a few
Put the drink down and go to bed
What the hell was going through your head
For some reason I'm always the one you choose
Why am I always the one you abuse
I really hope you're happy now
You've stabbed my heart, but don't know how
You need to get your priorities straight
I'm saying this now so next time I won't be too late
Do me a favor next time you start
Leave me out of it, that's comin from my heart
This time you only fell on the floor
Next time will hurt you so much more
I'm not gonna be there to catch you when you fall
To drink the drink or not, next time it's your call

    One of your better poems i think. it flowed well and was a joy to read. and it really had a msg to it. unfortunatly so true for some people , but hey thats life. no one ever said it would be perfect

    Good job, I HATE alcohol, because of what it does to people, and I have had bad experiences with people drinking. It's so sad to see what people can do while under the influence, which is why I will NEVER drink. Great job on this poem, I loved the emotion and every line was perfect.The only critism I can give if you might want to use punctuation.
