The Size Six Marching Band

by geeeeee   Dec 24, 2006

The mirror deceives the emotionally weak
All those with no faith in their hearts
The non believers, the broken dreamers
The act of life forces us to play our parts
There's an epidemic among us
A wave of a fad and a phase
Stereotypical beauty, Feeling a sense of duty
To march and follow celebrities ways
Unrealistic worlds consume our realities
There is such an absence of food
The size 6 marching band, take the hands
Of those venerable amongst the youth
We are overcome by a weakness
An opportunity for artificial beauty
We are drawn in, to shed our past skin
Shed away all of our impurities
We are trapped in a world of influence
Trapped in a world of make believe
There is no escape, trapped in a fate
Living as a teenage naive
For all the innocent young girls
That followed the size 6 marching band
The beats were too fast, no longer their hearts
Life they must no longer withstand
For beauties price overcame them
And they drew their very last breaths
Surrounded by this reality, so many fatalities
When will we cease these deaths?
