A dark shadow entered my world
and turned everything upside down
My once bright eyes turned dull
my smile turned into a frown
The shadow took away the sun
and replaced it with clouds & rain
The shadow took my happiness
and instead gave me fear & pain
The shadow stayed within me
for many, many years
A razor blade tried to get it out
but released only crimson tears
The dark shadow fought against me
and I could not break free
I wasn't strong enough
and the shadow took over me
It sucked my soul & spirit away
it drained me of my breath
I tried to cry, I tried to scream
but it gave me the kiss of death
