Five

by gabriel   Dec 25, 2006

Five minutes, I patiently await
Somehow you're always late
Yet I love you forever more
So I'll simply smile and ignore

Five hours, I have sat
Somehow you did forget
Yet I love you as always
So I'll still smile when I see your face

Five days, I have pondered
Somehow you've wandered
Yet I love you as before
So I'll smile while waiting by the door

Five months, I slowly waited
Somehow you've me hated
Yet I love you now and forever
So I'll smile till you say never

Five years, I helplessly abide
Somehow you had me lied
Yet I love you so true
So I'll still smile for you

Five decades, I have lived
Somehow you left me with grief
Yet I really love you so
So I'll still smile through my woe

Five centuries, I have left
Somehow you took away my breath
Yet my love renews every dawn
So I'll still smile even when I'm gone
