Life as I know it

by LaTeia   Dec 25, 2006

They say life is hard, right now I can feel it getting harder,
Born in the ghetto without a father
A small girl without a dad to wipe my tears
God bless my mother who often hid her fears
For my life could of went a totally opposite way
Like the film Sliding Doors, could have bailed up, sold drugs and got my pay
But my conscience added with seeing death in the paper almost everyday,
Just reinforces that with my education Im heading towards a brighter day.
