Mystery Man

by Dee   Dec 26, 2006

How often do you see
A girl just like me
Intrigued by a man of mystery
Not for his soul but his body

He smiles when I look at him
But he could just be friendly
Secretly I melt inside
And his body sends me in a frenzy

Tall, dark and proportioned
What a sexy man
He has no idea
That he is in my future plans

I am ready for romance
To fill the void I feel inside
When I stopped to look at him
I felt my heart come alive

A heart that I once retired
As I accepted a life of loneliness
Suddenly felt jump started
From a secret happiness

For it as been a long time
Since I have felt the beating of my heart
Maybe there is still a chance for me
To find a new start

I may never embrace the feelings Those secret ones I have inside
And he may never know that he was the reason I came alive

But for a brief moment
I remembered how love should be
I thought that I was dead inside
But he caused a spark in me

He has no idea that he made a difference
He may be a mystery but he brought me to my senses

I cannot live without love
No longer will I grieve
Thank you mystery man
For giving me a reason to believe

This poem was written for my friend and her mystery man.

This is really good! It starts out very strong, there is a bit in the middle that could flow a little better, but this has a lot of feeling behind it! I really like this!
