Torn Apart

by gabriel   Dec 26, 2006

I just dreamt of you again
In this dream I felt your pain
In this pain I saw your heart
It was cruelly torn apart

In your heart I saw a hope
But this hope was just too dim.
So dim till when I awoke
You had eyes solely for him

He really was your everything
Everything that included your biggest sin
Yet sin could never replace your heart
The heart that was cruelly torn apart

I felt sadness course through my veins
Even under a heavy rain
The droplets felt like stones of hail
Stones that fell in a screaming gale

Through the gale I felt your fire
Burning bright for his desire
And in this desire lay your very heart
The one that was cruelly torn apart

The storm subsided and calmed down
Silence enveloped, there was no sound
Soft, hushed sobs echoed somewhere nearby
I turned around and I saw you cry

Your tears fell like a withering rose
Soot-black petals that curled-up and close
On each petal I saw a dying heart
The one that was cruelly torn apart

I suppose the 100 odd people who've seen this probably don't exactly like it at all. Thanks for the compliment! I'll work harder still!
