Not This Time

He's staring down at me,
"You heartless girl," he tells me,
Is that all he can see?
He doesn't know anything...

He isn't aware of the tears,
He has ignored all my cries.
Oblivious to my pain, he doesn't care,
This isn't sane, this isn't fair.

I'm a heartless girl,
I have no feelings, he says,
But am I the one who lied?
These feelings never did die.

I love him, I can't hide that.
How can I let this be OK?
I don't think I can, he doesn't understand,
I'm a heartless girl is all he can say.

He doesn't want to be there,
He can't look at me anymore,

& I can't forgive him, not this time.
