A Blessing I Received: A Step Dad

by BlAcK ShAdOw   Dec 27, 2006

There have been times when I thought I didn't have a father who cared about me and wanted to be apart of my life. But all along I was searching in the wrong place and picturing the wrong face
Because you were right there from the start.
Taking me in, loving me and most of all treating me the same as you did your kids. And from that moment on I knew I was blessed to have a step dad like you.
Some step dads are often look up to because they are either good friends, caring, fun, or lovable. But then there's you the one person who possess all of these traits
Having a father of my own was something my heart longed for, until you came into my life. Giving me something that I've always wanted, a father figure. You have always been there for me when I needed you the most. No matter what situations you and my mother came across, you have always put me first. And I really thank you for that.

Thank you for your guidance and support throughout the years. You've stood beside me, and I can't find enough words to express how much I appreciate the things you did. When my vision was blurry you were the one who helped direct my path. By sharing your smiles, laughter and words of encouragement I am now a better me. I'm proud to have a dad like you. Not just for what you have done or what you accomplished, but for who you are and who god allowed you to be. Its a blessing to have someone as wonderful as you, who offer so much concern and care.

Your not just my step dad your more than that, you're a daughter's cure. And I thank you for making my life complete. I'll always owe you my life. The love I have for you will be eternal but beyond eternity, everlasting and for evermore.
The light you shared will always burn inside of me. Your love, your heart, your soul, and thank you because you have certainly played more than a step dad role
From this point on I'm grateful to have receive a BLESSING through the grace of God.

Love Your
Daughter
