We lost him they said
Like hed just run away
Its the sentence id come to dread
Although I knew it would come one day

How can they say that?
After all this time
Say that he couldnt fight it with such disgust
Like its a crime

Maybe he couldnt take it anymore
Like he couldnt take you
What are you even here for?
This child you never knew

Who are you to judge me?
And tell me its my fault?
He just wanted to be free
Free. He wrote that on every note

You drove him away
By telling him you didnt care
But youre the one who has to live with that day after day
And youll learn as he did. That life isnt fair
