Nature's Son

by Michael D Nalley   Dec 27, 2006

It seems that nature is your lovely mother
Jack frost, you chill our bodies like no other
Yet your cold cherished breath spreads cheer
With seasonal sentiments we hold dear

Our bones are cold, but our spirits are light
As we view the crystals making things bright
It is clear that your icy beauty cannot hide
The joy of children who skate, and slide

The earth is your canvas frost is your art.
Snow covered scenes dwell in our hearts
Memories of winters while time passes,
Generations of sacred peaceful masses
