A thousand words
Run thru my mind,
Not a single reaches my tongue.

I love you my dear!
Is all you will hear,
No more wants to come out.

If only I could
I'd place the words,
In an order that made sense.

But all that'd come out,
Would be jumbled about,
My feelings I hold for you.

You'd hear various words
Like kind and sweet,
But that's just the top layer.

I'd shout oh you're so caring
And oh you're so loving!
But that's hardly making a dent.

I'd make sure you knew,
You're funny and witty,
But that's just not enough.

I'd tell you I need you,
And inside I'd die without you!
But that just won't come up!

In my mind it's all there,
It's gasping for air,
But it's lacking the strength to push out!

I love you my dear!
Do not fear
If it ever seems not so.

This is my promise,
I owe it to you,
Someday I'll learn to speak how I feel.
