Loved, and Lost

My heart is shattered again
My blood pounding so hard
I shut my eyes so I don't cry
Broken hearted, once more
I rock back and forth
Wishing for the pain to end
I cannot believe that this is
Happening all over again
I stare out the window
I feel just, so lost inside
Then I smile, for a moment
A moment so brief
For I understand at last
It is better to have loved
And have lost that love
Than to have never loved at all.

    Great poem. wonderfully done. is obvious u have talent. i liked the way ur poem revolved around the quote and that even with the sadness of the poem u managed to bring a glimmer light in at the end. great job. 5/5. and tanx for the comment on mine.

    I love the quote at the end of this poem, i wrote one a couple of months back revolving around that phrase
