One night, I stood on an edge of a cliff
Where everlasting sorrow awaited me beneath.
My pain I can no longer hide,
I now truly find it hard to breathe.
What surrounded me I could not even define.
The skies were dark and gray,
The air was cold and sharp.
I knew I had nothing left to say
The wind caressed my hair,
While tears trickled down my cheek.
I looked down from where I stood
Suddenly my body became weak.
I was taken aghast by the sight below.
I took a deep breath and another, and a last
Finally, I took the leap with my arms wide open,
I could no longer go back, everything happened so fast.
As I was falling, I saw my life flash before me.
My family, friends, and the people I have met
They were all there, I cried more
For I know I will never see the sun set.
Sharp rocks were what welcomed me,
As I drew close to my demise.
I fell hard but could no longer feel,
I then decided, what I chose to do, wasn't wise.
