Lost/Lost

by Mistaeren   Dec 28, 2006

I've longed for you to call me wicked.

Everyone loves a liar; to hate.

Make me acquainted with your burning pain

To see whose wounds leave the deepest scars.

We've walked these million yards hand in hand

Across a river of innocent blood.

Honey, I think you're stuck and you can't come out

But that's alright, this is your fate.

G-d paved a path for one to walk on

And now it's my turn to walk and look ahead

My eyes will not see my old foot steps

I won't look back.

Throughout these years, what made you change?

Those pretty eyes are cold and red

And mine just bear a puzzled look

Throughout these years, you had to change.

I will not become my own enemy.

My time for that expired long ago.

It's remains were shattered by a little girl.

You never knew this story, ever,

Can bitterness turn sweet again?

This was the wicked side of glory

That my own eyes begged for revenge.

This is your fate.

We cannot walk along the same road,

We cannot speak those once true words

There's no escape from your heartless ego.

So drown yourself in your own flames.
