Good Guyz

It's tough being a good guy
Providing laughter and smiles
All the while we lay back in last place

We see pain and offer loving ears
Fall when needed to and step up to conquer fears
Wake each day knowing to do the right thing
Knowing that each day we wake, we'll never win

We do what we can because we know it makes the world happy
Yet no one knows what's trapped inside of me
No one sees that I do cry
That though my spirits are high
Sometimes it's hard to fly
Gets harder and harder to soar
Because the truth becomes harder and harder to ignore
That with every breath of precious air we pass
We forever, knowingly end up last

But it builds character
So I'll act accordingly
Separate the pain from the norm of me
And face each day positively
Cause I'm a good guy
So I'll just let it be
