Love of Night

I love the night
Where I am unseen
My face is hidden
My soul is redeemed
I flow around
With an animals grace
Surrounded by
The night's embrace
Time is frozen
In one place
Soon I come
Face to face
With the moon
Shining down on me
Lighting a way
For me to see
I'm still surrounded
By the night
My heart starts roaring
For me to take flight
So I take a step
And rise above all things
And embrace the night
With my black feathered wings.
