Crying at night
for the fear that I have
wishing with might
that you will be home soon
my heart says yes
but my mind says no
I hope you'll be back
I hope you'll be well
I want the world to know
that Miracles do happen
so come back to me
come back to this family
for i need a mom
as much as i need a dad

- i found the poem when i was cleaning out old things today. this poem was written November 2004. when my mom was in the hospital with an enormous growth on the back of her brain, he chances of surviving were slim, and i tried to smile around my sisters and hold everyone together. She is living and well now.-
