Looks and Sounds

The way your voice sounded was so unconvincing,
The way that it sounded annoyed.
To me, it sounded as if you were somewhat satisfied with the prank you were pulling.
But lying to me puts my heart through a bullying.
Why can't you just speak the truth,
I am here and I am able to understand.
You act as if I am so stupid that the joke would pass,
You act like I am so emotionally unstable I couldn't handle your simple truth.
Looks don't say everything,
And neither does your voice.
I am smarter than I look
And you are dumber than you sound.
