Demons En Masse

by Jemma   Dec 29, 2006

Demons en masse
Locked in absolution
Is this really the revolution?
It's so unreal
So surreal
Demons en mass
Caught in our dark fantasy
Drifting through dreams
Lost, lost, lost
Losing your soul
As the flag is waved
Red flag burning
White flag falling
Demons en masse
Gathered and watching
Watching and waiting
The fumes of our breath
Stilling the outside breeze
Breathe us in
For we're going nowhere
The stench is darkness
A sweet perfume
Demons en masse
We're all watching you
Such a subtle inspection
Take your turn
Make your leap
Let's make it good
Let's all hold hands
Let's all stand up and sing
Let's shut up!
Demons en masse
Add to the number
Join with the shadows
The heroes of yesterday
The sins of today
Sweet yesterday
Traitor!
Betrayer!
Loser
For you have lost
Lost it all
What are you?
When everything is gone?
When there's nothing left?
Just us in our dark circle
Demons en masse
Can't break infinity
Can't defy absolution
Only a fool would try
The cries are just murmurs now
Praying?
Crying?
Fall apart
You're nothing
Fall to pieces
Lose everything again and again
Demons en masse
We're everywhere
Too many for the world to hold
Seeping like bloodied water
Like blood, red, red blood
Such a crimson shower
Remembrance of life
Of things forgotten
Watch us die
Demons en masse
Demons in pain
Demons lost to the darkness
With nothing left to gain
Make you miserable
Is nothing else worth it?
Locked in candy coated lies
So unreal, still surreal
Shadowy threads
Trails from our shadows to our souls
Wisps of forgotten secrets
Fading smoke
Long told
And long lost
Secret arts
Secret lives
Secret truths
So sincere
We cannot bear to speak them
Lost in darkened dreams
Nostalgia for lighter times
Red eyes burning
White wings falling
Undying battles
Love is lost in our war
Eternity searching
Infinity of nothing
And of everything
If you have it all what is left?
You cannot have more
But we want more
We need more
Give us life
Give us a reprieve
A sense
Something to believe
Demons en masse
Drowned in our dream
