It was raining
the bell rang
it didn't stop
we went out in the hall
got in the crouching position
it only lasted like 5 minutes
i didn't cry
it was just a drill
we got back up
went back to class
we watched it rain
the sky turned green
it started to hail
the bell rang
we went back in the hall
i started to cry
i was scared
it was real
he was beside me
he made me feel better
he told me he loved me
i said it back
i was scared
i kept crying
all i knew was what i heard
all i could see was shoes
going back and forth
i was looking through my legs
he said he would protect me
he didn't have to
we got back up and went back to class
i was OK
a little startled
it was all OK
as i looked through my legs
that was a Friday
on the following Tuesday
i cried once again
his parents made him break up with me
i knew he didn't want to
i ran out of class and went to the counselor
Wednesday we got back together
we didn't tell his parents
it's 3 months later and we're still together and his parents know
they are OK with us being together now
luckily
