Cupid's Arrow

by Avrii Monrielle   Dec 30, 2006

Cupid's Arrow

There's a pain from cupid'sarrow
When it hits you in the heart...what?
The pain of love, sacrifices
And the fear of taking risks

Cupid flies, the golden haired cherub,
His prying eyes ready
To make strangers meet
...and fall

Off a cliff, to outer space
Into love; into their arms
Kissing with passion; never stopping to breathe
Cupid smirks as he draws the bow string

Aiming with all of his might
His weapon of romantic calibration
The most peaceful, emotional light
Upon the human world

Feeling cupid's arrow
Go through my hand
And pierce my heart
...I catch him, laughing meekly.
