Forever Free

by Unrequited   Dec 30, 2006

I pick at the scabs of the burning fire
recovered by your eyes, simple and sapphire
remorse holds no weight, dissolves into dust
as we cover ourselves with picture-perfect lust
and feel fingers caress our lives
our love is heard above the skies
calm beauty in my eyes
we pretend to begin
but it's always been
you and me
forever free

we feel our love within the breeze
the gentle breeze
we are free
my heart is stronger than disbelief
no more grief
we walk upon the autumn leaves
i believe
death can't take you
while i embrace you
no one will break you
it's you and me
forever free

we believe
the silent trees
whispered thoughts within the breeze
inside our love, between the leaves
softened, autumn leaves
eyes split in two by mystery
but there's no more grief
inside of me
we killed all disbelief
within all love
forever free
i can feel it, eternity
we must believe
always believe
it's you and me
our love within the gentle breeze

If it was in your heart and you felt it as you wrote then it's as good as any I have read.... poems may mean more to some than others, if you liked it when you wrote it than thats all that counts.. keep up the writing
