The Closed Door

by Audrie   Dec 30, 2006

What is this place?
The walls are closing in.
My heart is beating loudly.
I'm too close to the end.

In my mind I'm screaming.
Reality it's not.
Something in me is moving.
Fighting with all it's got.

I see a tunnel up ahead.
I'm moving toward the light.
The darkness, it is closing in.
Suddenly nothing's right.

I can hear the heavy breathing;
The heat against my skin.
Something's beyond that door,
Dying to get in.

Is this death? I ask myself.
Or is it but a dream.
Cause I've been told times before,
Nothing's what it seems.
