Teach us Reality!

by broken reflection   Dec 30, 2006

Don't put words in my mouth,
I can speak just fine with out you,
The best thing you can do is get out,
Why don't you just get a clue?

You teach,
But you need to preach,
Something new,
Something we can use...

We are the children of the future,
So stop feeding us this crap,
Give us real knowledge from your yap,
Give us understanding so we can become the next president or govenor!

I hate knowing more than you,
I hate knowing the patential in my peers,
I hate this growing hate you give them,
I hate their growing fear

Why don't these children know,
That war has collateral damages,
And that children are dieing,
And that grown men cry,
And that a hearts wound can't be fixed by a bandage,

They say that each generation gets smarter,
Then why don't they know everything?
Why are they making an army of fighters,
Instead of creating the minds who can cure cancer,
Or why do they encourage druggie singers,
Instead of heroes,
Real life people who save us everyday,
Like policemen, doctors, scientists, world conservationists...
Why does it always go the other way?!

:) Reminds me of how I feel. It sounds like something protesters would chant. I liked it overall. I'll give it a 4 on the creative scale, but the topic saves it enough to deserve a five from me.
