Daemons

by Corinne   Dec 30, 2006

My Demon shrouds me in shadow
Cruelly shutting out the light
Now the secrets within my heart
Have become a burdensome weight
Like a stealthy undercurrent
Running rampant in the night
His Dark Lord ways imprison me
I'm locked behind Hell\'s iron gate

But free of gravity is she
Aurora, that gentle bright daughter
Miraculously, Dawn comes again
As she alights from her carriage of gold
Her warm, sunny rays bathe me
Like a glistening spray of water
Washing away all traces of doubt
And loosening fear's terrible hold
