Love Me Forever

by LadyPearl   Dec 30, 2006

Scarlet rose lies in my cheeks
A bloom of your heart
Petals of your tenderness
not of usual art

But when that soft color fades
So will memories
If I forget you one day
My love will still be

Somewhere in lost conscience
I am still that girl
Gazing through bedazzled eyes
An innocent pearl

See through veils of old-age
To what remain ours
Even the vileness around
Fails to give us scars

Love me like a flower bed
fragile and young
Love me like the sun and moon
Looking up not down

Once again, an amazing read. This one flowed beautifully, as well. I also love your word selection, as in phrases like "bedazzled eyes". This sort of expression isn't used a lot -- it's a rare thing to say and I like it! It really grabbed my attention. 5/5 from Shanna.

This is such a beautiful poem! Great work! You use of vocabulary was strong and really made the poem more emotional I guess you can say.
    Keep up the great work.
