.who they've once been.

Breaking hearts and making lies
Breaking these promises that tie
They worsen with their aging
And suffer in their own wars their waging
Screaming lies and profanity
Screaming away their dignity
Their guardians encourage it on
With cheer leading and batons
With maked-up faces looking funny
And golden rings and abused money

Shooting hoops and kicking footballs
Breaking Rules and spray painting halls
They worsen with their aging
And suffer in their own wars their waging
Bathing in each other's humility
And washing away their sanity
Their parents stopped caring
About the bruises they are sharing
They let the darkened generation continue
And kept letting them do what they do

There is no faith left in the school
When the only thing worth being is being cool
When the children don't care and listen
When they don't remember who they've once been
