Almost on the edge

The sky is raining down on me
and I'm staring at my fate
surrounding the world each drop with meaning
as well as my world it will soon create

listen to me please
before i loose my mind
everything that has been so sweet
is suddenly left behind

like a sea of worries
everything comes spiraling down on me
i barely get above the water
so that i can hardly breathe

try to notice the good things
don't let the others get in my way
hope everything will pass
just get on with my day

everything will be OK soon
just close my eyes and dream
we've hit the bottom of the river
so it's about time that we travel upstream
