Rest In Peace Forever More

I miss you more than anything,
More than Ive ever missed before,
Its still too hard to fact the fact,
That youre not here anymore.
It seems like just ten minutes ago,
You were right here by my side,
I still dont understand how,
In just a matter of minutes you died.
You left this world too quickly,
Leaving me here alone and weak,
I try to express my sadness,
But the truths too hard to speak.
I wish I could have saved you,
I wish it was me instead,
For I would have given anything,
To prevent the path you lead.
I guess that youre in heaven now,
A better place is what they say,
I hope youre watching down on me,
And guiding me through the day.
I can not survive without you,
So I guess that you are near,
Theres just no other way to explain,
How I am still alive and here.
But the days are still rough,
And its a rocky path ahead,
As I try to move on with life,
Living with no more regrets.
I'll still think of you everyday,
Just the way Im thinking of you now
I'll find some strength inside,
I will survive somehow.
Just continue guiding my path,
Keep shining down on me,
And soon enough I know,
You and I will be together & free.
I want you to know I love you,
More than anything Ive loved before,
So rest in peace my friend.
Ill miss you forever and more.

I wrote this in memory of my dalmatian that passed away this year. he was my best friend. ive had him since i was seven and through all of the times i considered commiting suicide he kept me going. he brought me so much joy.
