Just Walk Away

You say you did your best -you tried
But you still hurt me deep inside
My life was suddenly turned around
My feet no longer on the ground

I knew no longer where I was
All my faith in you was lost
How deep it cut you do not know
The feeling of hurt will only grow

You left again and again and again
I always had to mask the pain
Even now it continues to grow
And yet again you do not know

I hate you even more each day
And I know that you will never pay
The price for breaking my precious heart
That all of a sudden was torn apart

I now know you never loved me
I have opened my eyes so now I can see
You did not really want to come back
And yet again, a dad I lack

I wish I could show you this poem right now
I wish you could see exactly how
I wished for my mum's happiness
And then what happened you'll never guess

I thought my wishes had come true
But then I realized it was only you
A monster capable of evil things
Who came along and broke our wings.
