Lord please bless me with a moment of clarity
For I’m lost, confuse, and heading the wrong path
Take me away and prevent me from hustling and street fame
Indulge me and sway my mind from evil deeds
Protect me from darkness and thrust me towards the light
Shelter me and house me in your company for eternity
Keep me sober and sane for the rest of my life
I chose my own destiny and now I’m fighting a losing battle
Freewill you offered but now I’m giving it back to you
I have never seen you but in you I’m putting my trust
I choose to embrace you for I’m in need of your help
Through you I know I shall never be defeated in this life
Lord your leadership is all I’m asking so I don’t fall
To live is to suffer but to survive is to find meaning through the suffering
Thus far everything I’ve found seems to be pain with no meaning
My heart and soul can’t endure this suffering no more
The gift of life is yours to be given and yours to take
