Haiku Poems

by Gregory W Golden   Jan 1, 2007

No. 01
Winter’s starlight --
damp corners in
rooms of quilted blankets

No. 02
Painted words --
stroke of midnight
sing hymns to starfish

No. 03
Squinted sunset --
restless dragonfly
awaken slumberous willows

No. 04
Sacred cliff dwellers --
sitting on the stove
the pot called
the kettle black

No. 05
Divine wisdom --
incandescent light
polished cracks in wall

No. 06
Puzzle of pieces --
faded Cheshire cat in
delicious game of cricket

No. 07
Faces of a mirror --
flight of catfish through
iron jars of clay

No. 08
Closet skeletons --
you speak and
old bones fall
from your mouth

No. 09
Depend on self --
the left hand undisturbed
by the right hand

No. 10
spiritual moonlight --
breathless butterfly
road of light

No. 11
Cripple abundance
amputated legs --
blind wheel chairs

No. 12
paperless eyes
honeysuckle wind --
haunted maple leaves

No. 13
Middle of Manhattan
hungry cheetah in
fresh yellow taxi

No. 14
April shower love
sky sings to clouds
falling birds fall

No. 20
Flat steel moon
eternity goddess
cast a love shadow

No. 21
Charm of a hummingbird
persuaded the rose
to releases sweet nectar

No. 21
An army of ants
light brigade marched
across piano keys

No. 22
A scoop of journalist
vanilla ice cream cone
on Sunday afternoon

No. 23
Negotiate investments
rent is due
and debts are paid

No. 24
From naked eyes --
holy water spread
ripples on a pond

No. 25
rock of Gibraltar
dolphins slide down cliffs
and crash ocean waves

Nice little grouping of aphorisms there. Many of them seem random and patched together, but that may just be because I didn't write them. The haiku form is unconventional, but your word choices are interesting and original. All in all... I liked them : )
