My "Happy" New Year

Enjoy the celebrations,
As i drink to my commiserations,
I look forward to another year
of not wanting to be here.

Just tell me what to live for,
One way in which i could give more,
Let me strive towards perfection
and not get caught up in the deception.
In this World of lies,
Where every face is a disguise
And every person acts,
Can't distinguish fiction from fact.
If the World is a stage
Let me try and engage
the audience with truth,
but they'd all ignore me,
Because that would be boring.

This World's so demanding
And from where I'm standing,
I don't like the look of 2007
I think I'll enjoy it better in Heaven.
